What are we dependent on technology for?

Nowadays, there's almost nothing that we don't use digital technology for: paying bills, designing websites, contacting family and friends, receiving news, etc. The photo shown is, of course, an exaggeration of how people react when Internet connection is down. Yet, we tend to think of the Internet as a must have for every second of the day. It does turn into desperation when the Internet is unavailable. As a result, many people begin to become more emotion when it isn't working. As preposterous as the meme is, this happens to be one of my favorite memes, due to the sense of truth that's being shown.
